Solution for Gxine plugin crashed, can't play radio streaming, flash bad in Firefox in Ubuntu Natty 11.04

Today i glad that my Firefox working and nicely play Radio streaming from my favourite sites ( www.surfmusic.de ). Also, it's solving error while playing sound / video in Firefox that throw me "The gxine plugin has crashed". Here are how to play audio, flash, radio streaming and video in Firefox Ubuntu Natty 11.04 :

I assume you already install several media player like VLC, Totem, Xine-plugin, xine.

Go to synaptic and search with keyword " mozilla " in description & name mode :

Uninstall :

install :

Now search with keyword " gecko " in description & name mode :

Install

Done! Now test to open your radio streaming!

If your MMS doesn't works, do this :

1. Type about:config i firefox:

2. Click right-mouse button and choose "Add new String"

network.protocol-handler.app.mms

with value

/usr/bin/vlc

3. Click right-mouse button again and choose "Add new Boolean"

network.protocol-handler.external.mms

with value

true
